$10,000 at Stake for 'Qualifier One' Winners

Rocket League Championship Series Online Finals Broadcast Times:
North America — Saturday, May 21 @ 12pm PT/ 3pm ET/ 7pm UTC
Europe — Sunday, May 22 @ 9am PT/ 12pm ET/ 4pm UTC

After three weeks of fierce competition with more than 20,000 participants, the top four Rocket League teams from each region have advanced to the first-ever RLCS Online Finals! With $10,000 ($5,000 for each region) up for grabs this weekend, the remaining team will battle it out on the road to qualify for the Live International Finals this summer and their share of a $75,000 prize pool.

    The thing that might be hard to appreciate is these guys are making everything look easy, it's incredibly difficult to successfully pull off the moves they are doing

      Some of the saves that get made are absolutely insane. And the directional control they have in the air is crazy. I usually just end up flipping in a direction I didn't want to and ending up half way across the field instead

        Each season of the RLCS is currently designed to include two qualifying periods. Each qualifying period begins with Open Qualifiers, a double-elimination tournament open to anyone who registers. The top eight teams that qualify out of the open tournament will advance into the Group Stage where they will play every other team once in a single round-robin format. The group stage of each qualifying period will reward points for teams placing five through eight. At the end of the group stage the top four teams earn a spot in each qualifying period’s Online Playoff where they will compete in a single-elimination tournament to determine places one through four. The top four teams will be awarded points at the conclusion of the Online Playoff. This format will be completed separately in North America and Europe. At the conclusion of a season’s two qualifying periods, the top four point earning teams from each region will be invited to travel to compete at the Live International Finals event.

        This is the finals for the first qualifying period. The top 4 teams from today all earned a bye in the open stage for the second qualifying period. Points matter in case an outlier team performs much better in the second round. At least that's the way I understand it
