Sony is hoping that the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End title is prophetic. It is hunting some folks who decided to make off with copies of the game as it was being shipped to retailers.

In a post on the EU PlayStation blog, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida said it is working with police in a criminal investigation to track down the culprits, but a few copies of the game have apparently already surfaced in the U.K. Yoshida is asking fans not to purchase the game ahead of its May 10 launch date so the their playthrough isn't spoiled.

"Please rest assured we will be very vigilant to protect you from this as far as we can so you can enjoy Uncharted 4’s experience to its fullest," he said.

The game has been plagued by delays, but will finally see the light of day soon. Sony recently released the newest trailer for the PlayStation 4 exclusive.
