Destiny servers down for scheduled maintenance today

Bungie anticipates no more than five hours of downtime.

Heads up and pulse rifles down, Guardians. Bungie's help account tweeted out a notification informing players that Destiny servers will go dark for scheduled maintenance around 8am PT / 11am ET, and should be back up and running by or before 1pm PT / 4pm ET.

Bungie provided more details on Planet Destiny. It will begin priming servers at 8am "in preparation for maintenance." Promptly at 9am, the game will give you and any other lollygaggers the boot to commence maintaining.

"Players signed in shortly before maintenance will receive prior notice via in-game messaging," Bungie assured.
