During yesterday evening’s Game Developers Choice Awards, a tribute for the late Satoru Iwata was shown which we can’t help but feel strongly towards, especially since we considered him to be our Person of the Year in 2015 due to all of his accomplishments at Nintendo.

The tribute, which you can watch for yourself below, highlights Iwata’s incredible career. He was the visionary behind a number of iconic games, video game platforms, and more. Even today, his influence can be felt every time you pick up a 3DS or browse through the Wii U eShop. He’s a true visionary in the world of video games and it’s apparent the gaming community is still reeling from his sudden passing.
