Origin's next free game will be Medal of Honor Pacific Assault

Prepare to battle through World War II all over again once Medal of Honor Pacific Assault becomes free to download.

EA has revealed Medal of Honor Pacific Assault will be the next title that will be made available for free as part of Origin’s On the House promotion.

Medal of Honor Pacific Assault was originally released in November 2004 and has players assuming the role of Marine Private Tom Conlin. Conlin will work along and with the help of squad members through a number of iconic battles during World War II. As your squad members gain experience, you’ll learn of their unique backstory as well as making them more proficient in battle.

Unfortunately, it appears EA still doesn’t have a multiplayer service in place to replace GameSpy’s hosting services for the original title. The game’s official product description says the publisher is still researching “a range of options to restore official online functionality and multiplayer gameplay,” but we have a feeling you’re going to only be experiencing Pacific Assault’s single-player portion on it becomes free to download.
