We'll all know for sure on March 30.

Final Fantasy XV has been in development forever, and Square Enix's habit of staying mum on release dates has frustrated many a gamer. However, the wait is close to being over. Square Enix's March 30 press conference will let us all know exactly when the latest main series Final Fantasy entry will be released.

For those who can't wait though, there is a credible rumor that comes from Gematsu stating Final Fantasy XV will come out for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 30. Though it is just a rumor, it's said that the info comes from four independent sources that have enough credibility to consider this potentially valid.

Regardless, I'll be first in line to get the collector's edition because I am a hopeless Square Enix fangirl.

I would love to see a modernized jrpg with quality of life stuff like bravely default did, not the weird mmo, action rpg thing they've been doing

Agreed, now if only they killed the grinding.

Grinding is kinda what defines the FF series though. And random encounters.

FF is one of the least grindy JRPG series. You basically never need to outside of postgame content.

That may be true of more recent titles. I haven't played a lot of the "current" ones. But, the older titles, say 1 to 7, were most def grind-fests.

I'll give you 1-3, but 4-7 are definitely not grind fests in the least. Of course, you *can* grind, but it's never necessary to succeed (and hell, FF6 and FF7 are pretty damn easy games as it is).

FF7 was the first rpg I've played that I beat all the way through with absolutely no grinding, just straight shot through.
