The Division - How to Get Infinite Crafting Materials (Exploit)

It was only a matter of time, right?

Like any game these days, The Division has some areas that are pretty ripe for exploitation. This time around someone has figured out how to exploit the game’s crafting material gathering system. Of course, like any “exploit”, this most likely won’t be around for long, so use it while you can – if you want.

First you’ll want to head close to your Base of Operations. This is the best place to do it, since the run time isn’t too bad. Locate the car park nearby with two toolboxes outside the fence. You can get Tools from here, which when used will help with crafting. Loot the boxes and then open your matchmaking and join a random game in free roam.

Learn how to upgrade your air filter level and enter more dangerous contamination areas.

Once you join the new game, run over to the boxes and scoop them up again, scoring a few more tools for your inventory. Keep repeating the process until you end up with all the Tools you need.

Of course this process can also be completed using items like Electronics, Weapon Parts, and Fabric, but Tools are by far the easiest to use it on.

As we stated above, once the devs catch wind of this it’s probably going to be patched, and that's really for the better. But if you’re running low on tools, and don’t mind riding the edge of morality a bit, then here you go. Enjoy your infinite crafting materials.

Then why post it? Its an obvious bug that they'll roll out a fix for and this just promotes bad behavior. "Let me grind all the crafting materials I need." I'm sure they have logs of this all too and could track down / punish? those that did this.

      I don't know.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Abusing exploits like this in online games also tends to get people banned, so that's not exactly something I would encourage visitors to the site to do.
