As the world of esports continues to grow, another major company has stepped into the world of esports media coverage. Hot on the heels of ESPN's foray into competitive video gaming, Yahoo has announced its jump into the field with the launch of Yahoo Esports.

Yahoo Esports is aiming to act as a mixture between editorial and video commentary on the full world of competitive games. In addition to breakdowns, the site will also feature full team rosters, match pages, stats, schedules, and scores. It's also launching a live chat feature, where fans can get together and root for their respective teams. Andrea Rene (The Escapist, GameStop, Weekend Confirmed) will host weekly breakdowns with Travis Gafford and Taylor Cocke breaking down League of Legends (with Cocke also weighing in on Dota 2), while Dylan Walker helps out with Heroes of the Storm and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
