Heh, well, being half Middle Eastern and half South American, I've had it pretty rough too in my life. I moved into an orthodox Jewish neighborhood at the height of the PLO's activity and had to deal with all this BS. It made me pretty introverted and eventually turned me into a computer geek. And to think that this was a snowball effect based on the color of my skin.... Affirmative action may look bad to you, but consider the number of kids who get into college on it are still small; read the bloody story here; a college that has affirmative action still couldn't attract a sufficient number of black students. By the way, it's hard to be black and just work your way into college because all minorities are handicapped in one form or another; most of you won't understand because you are simply too ignorant to. For example, John Rocker honestly thought that what he about New York was right; that doesn't make him evil; just ignorant. Instead of ranting and raving about affirmative action, get into politics and work to eradicate affirmative action then. Oh wait, that answer sounds too flippant and ignorant; doesn't it? Well, then take a look at some of the responses on here. So long as people make sweep dumb ignorant generalizations about people they know nothing about, like that guy who made a joke about Wisconsin's sports teams being sucky, minorites will continue to suffer at the hands of the extremes of others' ignorance. Hey, I'm not saying that all minorities are angels who look scary; I mean that just because most of them look more scary than you doesn't mean you should behave like a whiny bitch (sorry, I had to be crude there :P). Even the heads of Harvard and Princeton are in favor of affirmative action, and none of you can tell me that they don't know what they're talking about, unless you have an equivalent education or intellect (try to prove that you do instead of proclaiming that all Democrats must die, heh). They wrote a book about it; look it up. :p By the way, I never said white people had it easy either; but don't tell me that they're disadvantaged in this country for being white (outside of affirmative action; and if you didn't get a position because of affirmative action, that means you weren't one of the top people being considered, so even if you did get in/get the position, it would have been by a hairline, and the average person who gets a spot because of affirmative action would be better than you anyway) without sufficient proof of a something being truly unfair to MOST of the people. Heh, rant off.

P.S. The NAACP sucks because the former head of it resigned after accusing Lieberman of trying to start a conspiracy to increase the power of Semites in this country. And the ACLU sucks flaming cock because they defended the KKK for their beliefs. Affirmative action owns you. America owns you. :P
