Twitch's 2015 included over 241 billion minutes of total live streaming
Twitch has posted a massive retrospective of its past year, which includes a full report of minutes streamed, concurrent viewers, and which games people watched over the course of 2015.
The folks at Twitch have continued to grow year after year and they are coming off an astounding 2015. Today, the Amazon-owned live streaming company is sharing its 2015 accomplishments with its users and the numbers are pretty impressive.
With an average of 1.7 million users live streaming each month, Twitch has racked up 241,441,823,059 total minutes streamed with an average of 550,000 concurrent viewers. While many of those minutes came from North America and Europe, a large chunk of that time also came from Brazil and Taiwan. Much of that can also be credited to the addition of the Creative channel, which re-introduced Bob Ross into many people's lives.
That leads into exactly which games viewers tuned in to watch. Not surprisingly, the biggest crowds came from the big leaders of esports, with League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Dota 2 taking up the top three. Here's the full top 10 list for 2015:
