Update: Bungie has announced its server maintenance period is now over. Get back into the fight, Guardian!

Original Story:

Bungie has announced it will be taking down Destiny’s servers for an extended period of time tomorrow.

The server maintenance will commence on February 4, 2016 at approximately 8am PST and is expected to complete six hours later at 2PM PST.

Starting at 8am PT, players will not be able to log into Destiny in order to prepare for the upcoming maintenance. At 9am PT, Guardians will be removed from activities as Destiny servers will then be taken offline for maintenance, although players will receive an in-game message notifying them of the upcoming server maintenance. As Bungie mentioned, the maintenance period is expected to conclude at 2pm PT.

During the downtime, Bungie.net sign-in and Companion app services may be restricted, although all services as well as login functionality will be restored once the maintenance period ends.

Six hours is a pretty long time for Desitny's servers to be taken offline, so while you wait for them to come back up, why not check out some of our guide content?
