It's been a fun ride for Splatoon players, with Nintendo offering up nearly nine months of free content and new maps. That's coming to an end tonight, as the final Splatoon map is set to debut later today.

Originally revealed during December's Nintnedo Direct, Ancho-V Games takes the squid kids to a new locale: the development studio of the Squid Jump game. As games take place around working developers, players will find ink-able propellers that can be hit to move around pieces of the floor. Ancho-V Games is set to arrive today at 6:00PM PT. For more information, check out the Splatoon Tumblr page.

While this is indeed being billed as the last of the new Splatoon maps, Nintendo is pledging that it will continue supporting Splatoon with patches, balance tweaks, and Splatfests in the future.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
