Zen Studios has managed to stay up to date with everything Star Wars over the course of the past several years. So when something new pops up, why wouldn't it be ready with a pinball table. And I hear there's something going down in the world of Star Wars. Something... about the Force... and it awakening.

Yes, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is about to get a pinball table. The table will follow the events of the recent blockbuster film, revealing the battle between Resistance fighters Rey, Finn, and Poe and the First Order led by Kylo Ren. For the first time, this table will feature transforming environments, allowing players to visit many of the film's locations.

That's not all, though. A second table called Star Wars Pinball: Might of the First Order will follow the villains' story, as Kylo Ren and company look to expand the Order's stranglehold on the galaxy, while looking to stamp out the Resistance.

Both tables will be available on most Zen Pinball 2, Pinball FX2, and Star Wars Pinball platforms next week. That means look for it on PC (Steam and Windows 10), Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and all iOS, Android, and Amazon mobile devices on January 12.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
