Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Swings Westward in 2016

This realization actually has some substance.

Bandai Namco is sending the hype train a-rollin' for Sword Art Online fans with the announcement of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization's localization in 2016.

The PlayStation 4 and PS Vita title will be making its debut in the west next year, exploring the origins of the online world of Aincrad. It's poised to introduce a new battle system with raid fights, a skill palette, and additional mechanics surrounding party member order assignments.

Players will once again take up arms as Kirito, the protagonist of Sword Art Online, and will enter a brand new world rather than Aincrad proper. It's actually being written by the author of the original Sword Art Online light novels, Reiki Kawahara, so I suppose this game will be officially canon, then.

In any case, it looks pretty exciting and if you're a fan of the anime you'll want to give it a look next year when it releases.
