Just because its the hip and cool thing to do, I'm gonna start the morning update for Monday off all wacky hour like. I remember back in grade school all the 'hip' kids were updating their websites at the wee hours of the morning. I've finally achieved that status. POOP IN SPACE!!! Amusement of the day, Offspring is releasing their next album on the net for free, and the RIAA and Sony are throwing a hissy fit. Found my way back up to Canada for the week. It still doesnt make sense to me when I hand that guy at McDonalds this funny looking paper and they actually give me food for it. That and when you use a credit card up here the customer keeps the white copy. I got all discombobulated.

Well, flame me away but I think that 150-anon guy is doing the right thing. I personally will buy this game 'cause I can but there other people out there who can't afford it for different reasons. Those people can download this game and play it for free and it's a good thing. If you don't care about others then think about it this way. Anyone can go bankrupt tomorrow, nobody's 100% safe but because of the guys like him you can at least play games that you guys like so much.

K, got a question for any C/C++ and linux gurus out there. I'm trying to program with the bare minimum of API complexity in both winsock and BSD. First problem: I don't know how in hell to even compile a compiler *cough* from the command prompt, so I can't get anywhere in linux. (I'm running RH 5.0) If you know of any tutorials on this aspect of getting started with linux, I'd REALLY appreciate a link.

Second, my windows programming is getting undermined by linker errors. I'm using the skeleton headers from "Effective TCP/IP Programming" by Jon Snader (http://www.netcom.com/~jsnader for the source) and can't build my simple client project in VC6.0. It's telling me I've got unresolved externals __imp__recv@16, send@16, connect@12, etc. etc. I've been working at this on and off for a couple of weeks and I'm absolutely stumped. Looking for a few werds of advice or perhaps a link, please!
