Ratchet & Clank is set to hit PlayStation 4 next year, around the same time that the movie based on the series is set to hit theaters. Today, a new trailer debuted at PlayStation Experience, revealing how everyone's favorite lombax and his trusty sidekick met for the first time, followed by new gameplay footage that takes place after their first meeting.

A release date was also revealed. Ratchet & Clank will hit PS4 on April 12.
