Bungie has announced Destiny’s servers will be going down later today for a scheduled maintenance.

The scheduled maintenance will commence at 9am PT / 12pm ET and is expected to conclude at 1pm PT / 4pm ET. At 10am PT / 1pm ET, Bungie will proceed to remove players from activities as Destiny servers will be taken offline for maintenance, which we’re sure the developer will display in-game messages so a disconnect shouldn’t be entirely surprising.

During the scheduled maintenance, Bungie.net sign-in and Companion app services may be restricted. Once the maintenance period is over, all services and Destiny login functionality will be restored.

It’s been nearly a month since the last scheduled maintenance, which lasted much longer than Bungie previously anticipated. This is the first time in recent memory Bungie has gone over its estimated server maintenance time, and we hope it doesn’t become a regular occurrence.
