The Good 'Ol Boy's over at the FiringSquad have a preview up of Microsoft's upcoming "Intellimouse Explorer". While the name seems a bit ungainly, the mouse on the other hand is not. And after spending an hour cleaning out my Logitech MouseMan yesterday, I am REALLY looking forward to these things.

I must concur that the Everglide rocks. I\'ve never tried a 3M pad, so I can\'t comment on those, but the Everglide really is a nice pad. I\'ve had mine for about six months now and it\'s just as god as it was when I first got it. And I\'ve noticed that my Logitech mouse picks up a lot less dirt than it used to. I used to have to clean it every couple weeks, but now I only do it about once a month, and even then it\'s because I feel I should, not because I\'m losing sensitivity. Definitely worth the $12 I paid for it.

the flicking issue worries me. i\'m looking
forward to this optical battlerat since cleaning
my mouseman is a pain in the ass. no more
opening the mouse and scratching the dirt, yeah.
and it\'s smooth and responsive even after years of use.
sounds like a dream. i only hope the flicking
problem can be adressed.

it says that\'s the price, but i\'m guessing you work there, so i think you\'d know more than i would on their price updates. i\'ve been waitin for this mouse since april and i hope it\'s worth the wait, i\'m ready to throw out this shitty mouse pad

I have a 3m mouse surface, love it. Got it at staples for 9.99$, good deal, worth every penny! For those of you who dont like the fact that it curls, there is a new product out similar in surface, but its a block of plastic similar to a kitchen cutting board. I think its only a few dolars more and garunteed to last forever. And for those that say their mouse slips on a 3m, they are either dirty liars, or its because there is so much shit on their mouse rollers, it would slip on any surface.

i think the intellimouse explorer will be $80 and there will be a cheaper one for about $40. i think they\'re the same as the intellimouse and intellimouse pro. i\'m not sure what the difference will be between the intellimouse explorer and the cheaper one tho ...

These 3M mouse pads suck. I\'ve had 2 of them and they both have curled up and they are like $15 to begin with. I\'m tossing it as soon as I get that new optical mouse.

this was far from a good review. it screws up when its flicked? ug.. the whole reason i was looking forward to getting one of these mice is that i could LOWER the sensitivity so i would get more accuracy. and be able to move it more distance for that. with a ball mouse you cant do this cause fast movements may make the ball slip and shit. if you can only use it high res. with small movements. there really isnt that much of a reason to get one. other than the cleaning aspect. sigh...
