Weekend console download deals: October PlayStation Plus freebies now available

The October PlayStation Plus free games are now up for download, but there isn't a whole lot else going on this week with digital downloads on consoles.

This is the first October weekend that sees the PlayStation Plus freebies rotated out, so now is the time to pick up Super Meat Boy, Broken Age, and others. There isn't a whole lot else going on this weekend, in terms of notable digital deals, so maybe check out Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One and check out the "Friends of Runbow" sale currently going across both Wii U and 3DS. Maybe things will pick up next week?
