CD Projekt Red has revealed The Witcher 3's next patch will offer 'massive' changes to the game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt patch 1.09 is currently on the way and will offer a “massive” list of changes to the game.

CD Projekt Red community lead Marcin Momot took to the developer’s official forums to respond to questions about the upcoming patch. “The patch is on the way,” he says. “Was just looking at the changelog and it looks really impressive - the list of changes is massive. The update will bring a lot of fixes and improvements including PS4 performance (as well as other platforms) plus many more.”

Patch 1.08 was released across all platforms in late July and featured quite a list of improvements to both its performance and gameplay.

The only other details Momot revealed was a tease of 1.09’s chaneglog wouldn’t be posted prior to October. Speaking of October, the first piece of story-based DLC, Hearts of Stone, is scheduled to release on October 13. Hopefully patch 1.09 will also be introduced around that time.

Not sure I want massive changes to a perfect game.

I really hope this patch includes the UI/tiny font issues they said they were going to fix way back when the game launched. Will make playing on my TV a much more pleasant experience.

they fixed that a few patches ago, there's an option for ui size

I think that's been in there since launch, simple UI scaling. The issue is the small font size, which I don't think they've addressed yet (other than to say they're working on it).

They already did that in 1.04. If its still too small for you I guess you are SOL or you need more people clamoring for it to be even bigger.

Wonder if I just didn't notice. I'll have to check it out again. I know a ton of people mentioned this issue at launch, and I never heard about it again beyond 'we're working on it, gonna take a while'

Look at patch notes for 1.04 console, 1.05 PC, fonts increased 20-30% larger. I distinctly remember because I couldn't even read them on my 60 from where I sit and had to wait for this patch to play because I like to read all the notes and books to immerse myself in lore. These days I still have to strain but I can at least read it when I squint. Yeah I agree though it should still be larger on console. I think the PC guys were complaining it got too large on there though.

I wonder if this is the one that adds a lot more dialogue and story around Triss.

That was so disappointing. She literally just stands around for the back third and does nothing.

I'm only at Novigrad btu already kinda losing steam, I can't explain why. It's the prettiest game ever I just can't bring myself to load it up lately...the magic wore off I guess and it feels like a "game" now...

I kinda resent that I have to play it in 1080p when I can play all my other games at my monitors native res!

Just mainline the main quest, if the story doesn't keep you hooked than you cannot be saved.
