Nintendo has released a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes that gives us nearly three minutes of new gameplay footage, a brief introduction to its story, and more.

In the trailer, we see a woman, who we assume is Zelda, become cursed after opening a gift. The kingdom is in need of heroes to help lift this curse, which can be controlled by a single player by switching between Links, or by playing with friends. Tri Force Heroes allows for three people to play with one copy of the game through Download Play, supports local play when players have their own copy, and online multiplayer.

The trailer also shows the multiple Links solving puzzles through the use of a variety of items and weapons, communication options, and a game mode called Coliseum where you can battle it out against other Links. We also get a brief introduction to the game’s crafting, which gives each Link unique powers based on what they’re wearing.

The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes will launch on October 23 on the Nintendo 3DS. A New Nintendo 3DS XL bundle will also be available that day.
