Ready your blasters, because the Star Wars Battlefront beta will begin on October 8th and continue through to October 12th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Rebel and Imperial forces will clash across three game modes:

Walker Assault on Hoth: A 40 player battle featuring AT-AT’s crossing a frozen landscape. Y-Wing bombers are called in to stop them, while Imperial forces use weapons of their own to crush the Rebels.

Drop Zone on Sullust: In this 8v8 game, escape pods are crashing down all over the map, and both sides must fight to control them.

Survival Mission on Tatooine: This 2-player cooperative mission pits you and a friend against waves in incoming Imperial soldiers. Fight to survive as they bring in heavy weaponry like AT-ST's, TIE Fighters, and elite stormtroopers.

Coinciding with the beta period is a chance to try out the Star Wars Battlefront Companion experience at www.StarWarsBattlefront.com. The strategy card game Base Command earns in-game credits, unlocks Star Cards, weapons, and other Star Wars Battlefront items. The Companion also allows players to check game stats, progression, customize their loadout and character, and includes social functions.

Star Wars Battlefront releases on November 17 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
