Bethesda Softworks has released a new video for Fallout 4 that takes a look at what makes each Vault Dweller S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Last week, we were introduced to Strength. This week, as you’d expect, we take a look at Perception.

As the video below describes, Perception helps Vault Dwellers in a number of ways. The first one we’ll take notice of almost immediately is the V.A.T.S., or Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System. As your Perception increases, your attacks will become more accurate, which will save you a lot of embarrassment from missing your target.

Perception is also an important attribute for those who want to pickpocket, loot someone’s home or camp, or other nefarious deeds. The higher your perception, the more aware of your surroundings you’ll be.

The Perception attribute helps Vault Dwellers handle sensitive materials like explosives and build long-distance weapons.

Fallout 4 is scheduled to release on November 10, 2015.
