Castle Crashers Remastered store listing not appearing as free for original game owners [Update]

Castle Crashers Remastered has arrived and it's set to release for free for all Xbox 360 Castle Crashers owners. That does not appear to be happening at the moment.

Update: The issue appears to be resolved, with the fix expected worldwide within the next hour.

Original story: As noted late last week, today is the day that Castle Crashers Remastered hits Xbox One. While new players will get the opportunity to try the four-player beat-'em-up for $14.99, owners of the previous Castle Crashers are set to receive the game for free. So far, that does not appear to be going well.

Xbox appears to be aware of the issue and is looking into the cause. In the meantime, anyone that purchased Castle Crashers on Xbox 360 is advised to sit tight and not pay the $14.99 asking price until this problem is resolved. Shacknews will continue to monitor this issue.

But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
