Metal Gear Solid 5's Quiet can cause a major bug if used during certain missions

Konami has revealed Quiet appears to be the cause of a major game-halting bug when used during specific missions.

Konami has revealed Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has a potential progress-stopping bug that can occur under specific circumstances that involves Quiet.

Players who have Quiet as a companion while playing either Mission 29 or Mission 42 may run into a bug that stops the game’s progress. The potential bug can be avoided though as Konami recommends not using Quiet as a companion in either of these missions.

While alerting MGS5: TPP players of this issue is certainly appreciated, we know it may be difficult to carry out considering how useful Quiet can be in missions. Hopefully Konami can update the game to fix this issue as being unable to use a specific companion during certain missions isn’t a great alternative.

This bug is known to be present across all version of MGS5: TPP, which includes Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Steam.
