Same clock speeds across the board I think
If that's the case, when they say 32 MB board, does this mean:
- 4 MB frame buffer
- 28 MB split texture buffers (14 MB a piece)
If so, that sucks.
Isn't this what a Voodoo2 SLI delivers too?
2X FSAA and Fastest mode has got to be the most retarded setting on Earth. At LEAST turn on the lightmaps before you think about running FSAA. Vertex lighting completely blows. Might as well run picmip 8, gamma 6 tourney-look-like-ass settings while you're at it.
And besides, 2X FSAA is not that wonderful. 4X looks awesome, yes. I think 2X looks closer to no FSAA than 4X. It eliminates 1/4 the artifacts and crawlies and pops that 4X does. Give me 4X, or give me point sampling, thanks.

Also, FYI, on the review of the MX card on their site, it scores 116 FPS in Q3A fastest, not 108 FPS like in this review and likewise score 68fps on higest quality, not 66. Seems kind of fishy.
Either way, the similiarly priced ($150) Hercules GeForce MX kicks the crap out of these benchmarks, in my experience.

Maybe they realized they needed some more stuff on the box because a 32bit color version of the V3 wasn't good enough.

voodoo5 5500=best looking by far,and runs every game you got..
and whoever said get a new cpu was right on,because the 5500 is not exactly slow...:)
I should know,I pissed a few bucks away I'm trying to hold on for the amd ddr chipset, but the 1.1 ghz Tbird is looking sweet, then I'll put the voodoo5 6000 in there if it ever comes out...:)
BTW I'm still keeping my 64mb ddr when I get bored with Diablo and go back to q3...P

thats too funny!
so 3dfx has an overpriced DooDoo5
and because nobody in their right mind would buy one, they release a DooDoo4 that is either a glorified DooDoo3 or a defective DooDoo5.
hmmm, sounds like someone (3dfx) is trying to make up for some serious losses $$$$$
eheh
