Activision has released a behind-the-scenes trailer for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 that features just some of the skateboard professionals we’ll be playing as.

Tony Hawk was responsible for the roster of skaters in the upcoming game, which includes Nyjah Huston, Riley Hawk, Aaron “Jaws” Homoki, and Lizzie Armanto, one of two female characters.

“I wanted a mix of pros that represent the diversity of skating today. Ishod Wair, David Gonzalez, and my son Riley were obvious choices because of their versatility and relevancy to modern skaters,” Hawk shared in a statement. “The girls are represented well with two of the best: Leticia Bufoni on street and Lizzie Armanto on transition. Andrew Reynolds (aka The Boss) is still considered one of the best, so he is back representing the OG THPS skaters. Chris Cole and Nyjah Huston are contest dominators and phenomenal talents. And Aaron ‘Jaws’ Homoki, is a modern-day stuntman on a skateboard, dropping off the biggest stuff he can find. He was a perfect fit for the over-the-top action of THPS5.”

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 appears to have a well-rounded roster this time around that will allow the majority of players to find a skater that fits best with their play style. The game is scheduled to release on September 29.

I'm an enormous THPS fan, and generally find some good in even the worst Tony Hawk game (save for those dumb peripheral games) but no, I'm not stoked, and that sucks.

The graphics quality does look last-gen. But it's a new Tony Hawk game, so I want it!

On topic, I made a mention in an earlier discussion about screenshots from this game that it didn't seem too bad.

In motion, in this video... it looks bad. Really bad.

      1. Tony says there are a ton of skaters in the game, followed by Skaters feeling special/grateful for being the game game. ???? DUDES HE PUT EVERYONE IN THE GAME YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL SNOWFLAKES.
      2. There are two girls in the game. OH SHIT NO TONY DIDDENT!

Looks like another arcadey THPS. I loved THPS 1 and 2, but they got too over the top arcadey after that. Skate games are way better. Where's next gen Skate?!
