It's hard to keep up with everything Final Fantasy out there, but Square Enix is looking to make things a little bit easier with a new app that essentially aggregates all of its Final Fantasy news. Originally released in Japan earlier this year, the Final Fantasy Portal App has now been made available to users in North America.

According to Touch Arcade, the Final Fantasy Portal App offers the big Final Fantasy news of the day, while also keeping users informed about the latest updates for Final Fantasy games across PC, consoles, and of course, mobile devices. Those that download the app right can pick up a free copy of the original Final Fantasy, playable from within the Portal App. On top of that, the Triple Triad card game from Final Fantasy VIII is also playable directly from the app.

The Final Fantasy Portal App is available now on the App Store and Google Play store.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
