Bungie has announced it will be taking Destiny’s servers down today for a scheduled maintenance.

The server maintenance will start at 10am PT and will allow Bungie to make final preparations to enable Nepal Shader distribution and “other things.” Hopefully Bungie will reveal what those other things are shortly after the server maintenance is complete, which is unknown at the time of this writing.

The last time Bungie announced it was taking Destiny’s servers down for maintenance was two weeks ago. That downtime lasted four hours, which we hope won’t be the case for today’s server maintenance.

We’re now under a month from the release of The Taken King expansion, which is expected to launch on September 15 on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. The upcoming expansion will introduce new subclasses, a new Raid, and more. We’ll also be introduced to a new story which we learned about in its prologue trailer.
