Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection story trailer meets some old friends

Before jumping into Uncharted 4 next year, players can meet some of the series' most memorable characters all over again in Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and its story trailer that was released today.

Nathan Drake isn't going to embark on his latest adventure until next year. So in the meantime, that means there will be plenty of time to catch up with his previous journeys with the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection compilation. Today, a new story trailer was released to remind everyone just what a dashing rogue that Nathan Drake is and what kind of mischief he often finds himself in.

While the trailer sets up a story that allows series newcomers to meet some of its major players, the team at Bluepoint Games will also include some new game modes for rookies and veterans like. Detailed on PlayStation.Blog, the Explorer Mode allows players to simply live out the story with reduced combat while Speed Run looks to have players complete the games as quickly as possible, with a timer helpfully displayed. Then there's the Brutal Difficulty mode, which is added after completing each game on Crushing Difficulty. As the name implies, it is both brutal and difficult. Regardless of which game mode is chosen, players can opt to play with over 65 unlocked Nathan Drake skins.

Check out the full trailer below. Uncharted fans can re-live Nathan Drake's adventures again on PS4 when Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection arrives on October 9.
