If you still don't own Splatoon, Nintendo is offering another opportunity to try it out for free later this week.

Nintendo has spent a full summer pumping Splatoon full of free content. Today, the focus now turns towards those that still do not own a copy of the Wii U multiplayer ink-blasting shooter. Today, the Splatoon team announced that a free demo period would hit later this week, with the Splatoon Testfire ready to ride again.

The Splatoon Testfire demo will become active again on August 21, 22, and 23 between the hours of 3 and 5PM PT. No word on whether any of the new content will be made available, but at the very least, inking friends should be an enjoyable way to pass a couple of hours. Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
