Shack's Arcade Corner - Superman: The Video Game

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! No! It's Superman... in a game that isn't terrible!

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! No! It's an arcade cabinet! (How is it floating in the air like that?)

For this week's edition of Shack's Arcade Corner, Greg Burke checks out one of the few Superman games that was actually worthwhile. Superman: The Video Game was released in 1988 from Taito and had players beat up bad guys as The Man of Steel. There wasn't much more to it than that, but for those looking to punch out some evil-doers, what more do they need? Watch Greg's full breakdown below.

Very cool man, you know I never played this game and had no idea it was even made.

Damn I have to say it looks really cool wish I had played it, there is a real cool Spider man game on System 32 its sort of like this. I am going to have to dig this it up on MAME.

Nice vid man cool stuff, was that Time Crisis on the end?

Ah nice sniper action, I thought it was a light game just did not remember which one, good pick.

Man Area 51 was one of favs and Time Crisis actually quit a few now that I think of it, good times.
