Robomodo has revealed a bevy of new information regarding its upcoming title, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, that includes details for its online multiplayer and exclusives.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will offer a different online experience compared to previous iterations in the legendary series. Players will connect to Freeskate levels that serve as lobbies for up to 20 players. These levels act as a hub where players can hang out and skate between different missions and online matches, and best of all, they’re hosted on dedicated servers.

The use of dedicated servers allows players to drop in and out of a Freeskate session at any time. Players can jump into a mission with their party or challenge the entire park in one of the game’s competitive multiplayer modes. Once you’re done, you can either retry/rematch or jump back into Freeskate seamlessly.

Robomodo has also revealed its online mode will only be available on current-gen versions of Pro Skater 5, meaning those who plan on owning the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 versions will only be able to enjoy a single-player experience.

PlayStation exclusives were also announced in the form of Sackboy, Sweet Tooth, and Ratchet character heads. These heads can be used to create a custom skater, although we hope bodies for these heads will also be available some time down the line.

As of now, there’s no word if there will be Xbox-exclusive content. We’ve reached out to Activision to see if Xbox owners can expect their own set of exclusive items.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Pro Skater 5 will be available on current gen systems on September 29 and last-gen systems “before the holidays.”
