The Pokemon Company has announced Pokemon Shuffle will be making the jump from the Nintendo 3DS to mobile devices later this year.

Just like its 3DS counterpart, the mobile version of Pokemon Shuffle will be free-to-play and will support in-app purchases. The game allows the player to partake in a total of five games for free during each play session. Once you’re out of free play sessions, you can either wait for them to recharge over time or purchase more play tokens. The game also allows the purchase of in-game gold to use on items.

A new trailer was released today highlighting the mobile version of Pokemon Shuffle, which you can view for yourself below.

Pokemon Shuffle Mobile will available on both Android and iOS devices, although no release date was announced.

This isn't the first time a Pokemon title has made its way to mobile devices as The Pokemon Company released Pokemon Trading Card Game on iPad last year. The company is certainly no stranger to offering Pokemon-related content outside of Nintendo platforms, although we have yet to see an actual Pokemon game do the same.
