Evolve kicks off Hunting Season 2 with Lennox

Evolve isn't quite finished yet, because 2K Games is kicking off the game's second Season Pass with the game's latest Hunter.

Evolve is getting some new content with its new Hunting Season 2 content. The new batch of content is headlined by a whole new Assault class Hunter, a burly woman named Lennox. And not only is she sporting a hardened attitude, but she's also bringing along a new melee attack.

Lennox is the first of the Hunters to feature a melee attack that allows to get up close and personal with her prey. Thanks to her Thunderchild mech suit, she can use her Plasma Lance to cause increasing damage with each successive strike. She can also cause some hefty damage with her Autocannon and Thunder Strike moves.

Lennox is available for the new, reduced Hunter price of $4.99. As for those that purchased Evolve's Season Pass upon release... well, those people are out of luck, because this is all part of a whole new Season Pass, remember? This one is available for $24.99. The only exception will be for those that purchased the Evolve PC Monster Race Edition, who are slated to also receive all Hunting Season 2 content. On that note, it should be noted that DLC prices have gotten something of an overhaul, with Hunting Season 1 now reduced to $14.99.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Evolve seems like a money hungry game....

LOL, sorry Evolve. I'm not paying that much money for your game.

I *might* play it if it ever goes on sale hella cheap with all the "season" content included.

The 8 people playing today will have moved on by then, but maybe it'll have a bounce when it sells for $5 later this year.

I guess they mean Spring, Summer, etc..so the game will cost you $100 per year to stay up with all the seasons.

man the barrier to entry to this game is so dumb. $50 for base game, $15 for 1st season pass, $25 for second season pass. If I just buy the base game, I don't get any of the creature updates. Remind me again why this game is worth getting?

I LOVE the L4D games but if they try to stick this idiotic pricing scheme to L4D3 they can count me out.

Holy shit. I guess charging a high dollar value for this stuff from their tiny existing user base might be the only way to recoup development costs.

Just like Titanfall. Not enough content out of the gate and far to much costly DLC.
