Destiny: The Taken King DLC getting $80 Collector's Edition on Xbox One, PS4

Bungie and Activision will be releasing a Collector's Edition for its upcoming DLC, The Taken King, in both physical and digital editions.

Bungie and Activision announced Destiny: The Taken King will be available on September 15, and today, we’re learning the upcoming expansion will get the Collector’s Edition treatment that will be exclusive to GameStop.

The Taken King Collector’s Edition will come with a copy of Destiny, the two previously released expansions, The Dark Below and House of Wolves, and The Taken King DLC. All of this content comes in a steelbook case along with early access to a weapon pack and Cayde-6’s Intel Cache.

The Intel Cache contains the following items:

  • Modified Treasure Island Book with Intro Letter from Cayde-6
  • Cayde-6’s Personal Notes and Illustrations
  • Collection of Relics and Artifacts
  • Strange Coin Replica
  • Weapon Schematic

The digital version of the Collector’s Edition will offer XP boosts. three exotic class items, three class-specific emotes, and three armor shaders.

The Collector’s Edition of Destiny: The Taken King will sell for $80 and will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Destiny: The Taken King was previously leaked thanks to a Red Bul promotional image, which we then learned exactly what we could expect from the upcoming expansion thanks to a published report. Guardians can expect a new subclass, a new Raid, and more when The Taken King is released on September 15.
