Devolver Digital and Mediatonic have announced a sequel to Hatoful Boyfriend, titled Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star, will be releasing in the the fall of 2015 on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.

Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star will have fans of the series traveling to “fantastically-styled worlds”, meet both old friends and new characters and take on side stories and other distractions, all with improved visuals. There’s also the possibility players will come across anime-inspired magical girl transformations for all of our favorite pigeon boyfriends.

Hatoful Boyfriend was quite the experience for those who never played it. It’s essentially a dating sim starring various birds, although you could switch to only view a character’s human form if you wanted to feel slightly less creepy about the game. Its sequel appears to offer more of the same crazy universe where schoolgirls dating birds is a thing, and we can’t wait to play it.
