While current-gen console owners have been enjoying Mortal Kombat X for over a month now, those stuck in the last generation have been impatiently waiting for their version of NetherRealm’s fighting title. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced earlier this year the last-gen version would be delayed to summer 2015, and today, it appears the publisher may be delaying it yet again.

According to a new report published this week, GameStop employees have been informing its customers the last-gen version of Mortal Kombat X has been delayed from summer to fall. The GameStop website appears to confirm this report as they have slipped its release from June 2 to December 31.

If the report turns out to be true, this would mark the second delay the last-gen version of Mortal Kombat X has been hit with. WBIE and NetherRealm originally planned to have both current- and last-gen versions launch together in April, and another delay would once again affirm how publishers and developers are slowly moving on from supporting last-gen consoles.

If you’re a last-gen console owner who is waiting for Mortal Kombat X to finally be released, you might as well read up on how to perform every fatalitiy and brutality as well as unlock everything in the Krypt and Shrine of the Dead. You’re going to need all the help you can get once it releases.
