Battlefield Hardline reveals 'Criminal Activity' expansion

Battlefield Hardline is still looking to clean up crime on the streets, with EA and Visceral revealing the game's first multiplayer expansion, called "Criminal Activity."

Crime has been rising across the streets of Battlefield Hardline since its launch and now EA and Visceral Games are pulling the curtain back on the game's first Season Pass content. Appropriately enough, the expansion will be titled Criminal Activity.

The new expansion will be headlined by four new multiplayer maps: Code Blue, The Beat, Black Friday, and Backwoods (which EA takes a closer look at here). All of these maps look to be based on various locations from the game's single-player campaign. Criminal Activity will also pack in four weapons, one new gadget, two attachments, two vehicles, six masks, and an unspecified new game mode.

For more, be sure to check out the game's first trailer below. More details on Criminal Activity's release and price point are forthcoming, though Season Pass owners should be able to grab it for no extra charge.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
