Twitch users will finally be able to view gaming highlights and broadcasts from Twitch partners and ‘a growing number of broadcasters’ on their mobile devices.

Available video on demand content can be viewed from a channel's activity feed. Twitch’s blog gives us two ways to get there:

1. If watching a live channel, just tap the Activity Feed icon displayed on the player. For iOS it is found on the top left of the player. For Android users, the icon is on the bottom left.
2. Tapping any offline channel will take you to the Activity Feed if you’re on the Search page or Following directory.

This release also fixes a possible security risk on the Android app, which Twitch doesn't go into detail as to what this risk could be or how it could be accessed. As a result, Android users will need to download and install a new Twitch app instead of updating the old one.

The new Twitch app can be found here: http://g.co/play/twitchapp, but be sure to delete the old app as Twitch will stop support it starting May 20, 2015. 

Video on demand access is someting Twitch's avid mobile user base has been requesting from the company for quite some time, it's just a shame Android users will need to go through the process of installing a completely new application rather than updating their current one. If there's one thing we dislike, it's having to input our login credentials for a newly-downloaded application. 

In addition to this, Twitch announced their first gaming convention, TwitchCon, will be held in September. And we have a feeling there will be quite a few Twitch mobile users in attendance.
