Even more than Napster, Scour stands for the proposition that it is possible to corporatize piracy -- to turn a buck from it, indirectly. Sure, if Napster beats off its lawsuit, then Scour will likely win, too, and the proposition will be proven correct. But I wouldn't bet on it. Even the funny money investors who have backed the Internet bubble aren't eager to bet on such a longshot any more; and it's not just in this area, but Net-wide, that capital is starting to scare....

Well, guess its back to Gnutella..of course they will try and kill that somehow too, the whole point is to make file sharing in any from illegal. (fat chance). Still, I'll use it like a cheap whore until they pull the plug on me. God I hate big business and government..and I'm not even a whinning liberal!

This is what law suits get us. 52 people lost their jobs because of this shit, that sucks. You would think at least half of these people (if not more) are supporting other people (familys etc.) so now 52 people are without money. I'm not saying these people are going to starve, i'm saying that it sucks.

And for all those people that bitch and moan do the following.

1. Get on napster/scour and find a song you like
2. Listen to that song and say, damn thats a good song.
3. Go out to the store and buy that Album/Single
4. Write a letter or call the publisher of said CD
5. Inform them that because of napster they have just MADE MONEY. Let
Them know that you are buying music still; and will continue to do so
even if napster remains alive.
6. Find the website of the artist, write there PR people a nice letter
about how much you like their music. Inform them that you heard it
first on MP3 and decided to support them
7. Sit back in your chair, turn on the CD, drink some beer/water/coffee
8. Realize you dun' good

I am thinking to buy a new sound card. I have a monster 300MMX. Do you think it is a good idea to get a new one? If yes, which one should I get? I don't want to spend more than $300(That's really the limit of my budget).

It amazes me how some file sharing program company could have 64 employees. You need 2 programmers, a web guy (maybe), phone answerer/secretary, an accounting guy, a marketing guy and a president. thats it. so thats 7 people to run this thing. I would look for five more to get fired very soon.
