Interview with Sasa Marinkovic about AMD's VR Platform at GDC

Asif Khan, AKA themanwiththebriefcase, sits down with Sasa Marinkovic to talk VR and how AMD's new Liquid VR fits into the picture.

Last week AMD announced that they'd be releaseing 'LiquidVR', and SDK which would be useable by virtual reality developers to make smoother and greater VR experiences across all VR devices. During the events at the Game Developer's Conference last week, Asif Khan, had a chance to sit down with one of AMD's experts to talk LiquidVr and what part the SDK will play in the future development of virtual reality titles.       Interesting to think about the high end experiences when using a GPU per lens to maintain 90Hz / 90FPS. That demo in the background looked nice.

      Was it as vivid on the headset, briefcase?
      Was it using a GPU per lens, or DK2 not supporting that kind of refresh yet?

        It was using a gpu per eye. It was pretty good. I had experienced that Crescent Bay demo before on Oculus beast computers.

          Have you had a chance to try some of the other headsets, like the Valve/HTC one for example? I'd be interested in hearing your impressions.

          Awesome, I had never even realized that's how dual GPU was built into the architecture.
