Get to know a new, more environmentally-friendly El Presidente with Tropico 5's new Gone Green DLC.

El Presidente has been finding new and creative ways to mold his republic in his own image over the past several months. Today, everyone's favorite dictator is taking the environment into consideration and getting a lot more eco-friendly with today's new Tropico 5 DLC called Gone Green.

The new Gone Green DLC adds a new standalone scenario ("Catch the Toucan"), a new Windfarm building that offers a renewable source of energy, a whole new sandbox map, and a new avatar accessory. While the objectives will surround building a clean source of energy, it wouldn't be El Presidente if there wasn't some sort of ulterior motive, so players will also be looking to bolster his personal bank account by dumping crude oil off to the highest bidder.

Tropico 5's Gone Green DLC is available now for $3.99 on Steam.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
