Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide is Left 4 Dead, but with rodents

A new co-op first-person shooter and melee game set in the Warhammer universe has been announced called Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide.

A new game within the Warhammer universe has been announced which is being described as a first-person shooter and melee game set in the End Times of Warhammer, independant developer Fatshark announced today.

Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide is a co-op title that will allow players to select from a band of five heroes, each of which offer different play-styles, abilities, gear, and personalities, as they attempt to rescue Ubersreik from an invasion from hordes of relentless, power-hungry Skaven.

“Combining gritty combat with cooperative multiplayer action, Vermintide will provide the player with a completely new perspective of the Warhammer Fantasy universe, through the eyes of the heroes they play,” said Fatshark CEO Martin Wahlund in a statement sent out today. “Staying true to the fantasy lore, with familiar foes and locations, we look forward to winning the hearts of enthusiasts and newcomers with this new take on the Warhammer story”.

Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2015 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
