Who is joining the Mortal Kombat X roster following Reptile's reveal a few days ago? Find out in today's NetherRealm Twitch stream.

Update: It looks like Ermac will be joining the Mortal Komba X roster. And as promised, his variations were shown off, starting with the Master of Souls variation that uses Ermac's many souls to his advantage. His Mystic variation utilizes many of his telekinectic abilities to play "keep away" with his foes and slam them against walls and bounce them off the ground. Finally, the Spectral variation gives Ermac the power of flight, at the expense of his hover-based moves. A trailer was also revealed, which will be posted as soon as it becomes available. The Kombatkast stream also teased some more announcements for the future, including a whole new type of "-ality" set to be revealed in the next month.

Earlier this week, NetherRealm Studios unveiled the latest Mortal Kombat X kombatant, the slimy lizard warrior Reptile. Of course, with the game's release date approaching quickly, the studio is looking to pick up the pace for its character reveals, meaning there's another one on the way.

As first noted by creator Ed Boon on Twitter last week, NetherRealm is jumping on Twitch today at 1PM PST to reveal the latest fighter to join the Mortal Kombat X roster. The pattern for the past few reveals has been a returning character, so let the wild speculation commence. Whoever it is, expect the character's three variants to get shown off in full.

Shacknews will be watching intently, along with every other MK fan. Join the stream below and come back once it's all over for a recap of "Who's Next?"

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Since UMK3 I have loved him, he had back then Shao Kahn projectile so that alone made me freak out and the whole telekinesis and a Ninja so I was sold on day one. He is one of my mains.

Totally I did not like his design in MK9 but this looks like a Sith which is awesome I love it as well so good, man that fatality was epic I love the intestines that came out so damn good.

No fighter ever really compares (in popularity) to a Street Fighter game released at a similar time. SF5 is on the horizon and will crush any other game in the same release window.

Its true SF is #1 with the fighting fans but I really can not see what SF5 is going to add that 4 did not already do? Other than graphics what more can 5 do?

If you ignore the whole popularity factor MK really is the only Fighter That has progressed so hard core over the years heck look what they did with MK9. I was like how can they up MK9 and MKX like hard core smashed it in every freaking way possible the SF series can not say the same what so ever.

Don't get me wrong I love SF4s(it ACE) and fighters in general but MK has always been my fav, it really is amazing how far they have come it really should get some hard core recognition for it.

Killer Instinct is by far my biggest disappointment they went backwards, sure I love playing it but they took so much out that 1 and 2 had its sad.

While SF5 graphics looks ace I really don't know what they can add at this point which really I don't care SF4s are pretty much perfect so what else can you do.

I wonder what the new KOF will be like is it even in the works?

Heck you know what I think the MK series may be the most progressed game franchise in history period out of everything out there I don't really know any other series that has progressed so much? well I can not think of it atm.
