Dying Light: Locate EXPcalibur and its Blueprint

Our quick guide to help you find one of the most powerful weapons available in Dying Light.

Weapons are a massive part of Dying Light, and whether you’re running around wielding an electric Brick Hammer, or stabbing your foes with fire wielding knives, you’re always going to be on the lookout for the next big thing.

Well, that next big thing comes in the form of the EXPcalibur, a simplistically hidden sword which bears a striking resemblance to the fabled Sword in the Stone.

To find this sword you’ll need to head just southeast of the Tower, to the coastline.

Upon reaching the coastline keep an eye out for a rock jutting from the depths of the water.

Once you locate this rock you’ll need to swim out to it and climb up. Once atop the rock simply cross to the other side to locate a zombie corpse with the sword sticking out of it.

Now it’s time for the waiting game.

The sword takes about 3 minutes to pick up. Yes, you heard that correctly, 3 solid minutes of sitting there and holding the X button (or whatever your use button is for your console). Once you picked it up it’s time to see what this baby has in it.

Don’t be disappointed when you look at the stats.

The sword deals a womping 326 damage at its base stats, the sad part to the story though, is it only has 7 durability, meaning it’s not going to last very long in a fight. Because of this reason, I highly recommend holding onto the sword, filling all 3 of its upgrade slots, and then putting it to good use later in the game when you really need it.

Not only can you find the weapon here, but if you're patient enough, and you wait for the zombie corpse to burn away, you'll be rewarded with a nice handy EXPcalibur Blueprint. Now you can craft as many of these bad boys as you want.
