The Crew is getting some new mission content today with the free Extreme Live Update, deploying alongside the Extreme Car Pack DLC.

The Crew pulled out of the garage in December, not completely setting our world on fire, but certainly proving itself to be passable. Ubisoft is hoping to add a little more to the overall Crew package today with the deployment of the new Extreme Live Update, as well as the accompanying Extreme Car Pack DLC.

The Extreme Live Update will add four new missions that are set to cater to "extreme" racers. The Vertigo mission sets a high-speed race along the Colorado River. The Rollercoaster mission has racers sprinting to the top of a mountain and barreling down the other side. Slip and Slide will pit racers against one another along hazardous icy terrain. Finally, Hurricane will take place along a construction site, littered with jumps and other obstacles. New unlockables will also be included, including stickers and tuning specs. The Extreme Live Update will be available free of charge.

Those looking to pony up some money for additional cars can also pick up the Extreme Car Pack, which features the Aston Martin V12 Zagato, the 2014 SRT Viper GTS, and the Abarth 500. The Extreme Car Pack will be available for $7 a la carte or as part of The Crew's Season Pass.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
