Microsoft has released a new system update preview release on the Xbox One today that includes a number of new features to the console’s dashboard experience.

The most notable is the Game hubs feature, which serve as a game’s go-to center for a number of interesting content surrounding that very title. Every Xbox One game will have its own game hub where players will be able to see a number of specific content, which includes viewing what friends have played that particular game, leaderboards, viewing clips and current game broadcasts, as well as a new VIP section that highlights Xbox community members who have made the most impact in said game.

Custom backgrounds and tile transparency have also been made available in today’s update that allows tiles to be made transparent, which would make custom backgrounds more visible. Not all tiles can be made transparent, so keep that in mind if you come across an advertisement tile that just won’t go away.

Lastly, a number of TV features have been added which includes improved control of TVs, set-top boxes and audio/video receivers, improvements to TV trending in OneGuide, and live streaming of TV content onto Windows Phone and Android devices for Xbox One Digital TV Tuner owners.
