The Smite World Championship in Atlanta has wrapped up and Shacknews was among those in attendance. While on hand, our own Andrew Zucosky spoke to associate game designer Christina Grossrieder about some of the 5v5 MOBA's Pantheons.

Grossrieder discusses her day-to-day duties, which includes Pantheon research and voice pack contributions. She also discusses some of the difficulties in creating distinctly different Pantheons and some of the Pantheons that are on the team's wish list.

For those that missed the Smite World Championship, the Grand Finals came down to North America's Cognitive Prime facing off against Europe's Titan. Over a million unique viewers jumped on Twitch to watch Cognitive Prime triumph in the end, with over 2.9 million daily views accrued across the entire tournament. The total prize pool was listed at $2,612,610, with $2 million of that raised via crowdfunding.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
