China will need to go on a bit longer without the PlayStation 4 as Sony has announced they are delaying sales of the console in the region due to “various factors,” the company revealed in a statement issued today, which was submitted to Reuters.

A Sony source in China informed Reuters prolonged negotiations with Chinese authorities were part of the reason for the delay. The company was in the process of applying for licenses for a total of 30 games as they attempted to work closely with the Chinese government in order to head off censorship concerns.

As of now, no new sale date has been determined.
